My Qualification Practice Experience: May 20th - May 24th

Now I am gonna to tell you about last week of our qualification practice at school

**Day 1: Monday, May 20th**

The second week of my qualification practice began with renewed excitement and confidence. Having settled into the rhythm of the school, I was ready to take on more responsibilities. Today, I co-taught a English lesson with my mentor teacher.

The students were highly engaged and eager to participate. Watching them immerse themselves in the project was incredibly satisfying. Later, I joined the faculty for a professional development workshop on incorporating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) into everyday lessons. The session was insightful and provided me with new strategies to enhance student engagement.

**Day 2: Tuesday, May 21st**

On my second day this week, I led a full lesson on environmental science. We explored the topic of ecosystems, and I organized a group activity where students created food web diagrams. I was initially concerned about managing the class on my own, but the students were cooperative and enthusiastic.

After lunch, I attended a parent-teacher conference with my mentor. It was enlightening to see how teachers communicate student progress and address concerns with parents. The meeting underscored the importance of building strong relationships with parents to support student learning.

**Day 3: Wednesday, May 22nd**

Midweek, I focused on incorporating technology into my teaching.  My mentor teacher suggested I try using tablets for a math lesson on geometry. I found an interactive app that allowed students to manipulate shapes and understand their properties. The technology made the lesson more dynamic and engaging, and it was rewarding to see students grasping complex concepts through this hands-on approach.

In the afternoon, I participated in a school assembly. It was a lively event with performances and presentations from various classes. The sense of community and school spirit was palpable, and I appreciated how these events fostered a positive school culture.

**Day 4: Thursday, May 23rd**

Today was all about teamwork and collaboration. I partnered one teacher, the special education teacher, to design a cross-curricular lesson that integrated art and literature. We had students read a short story and then create visual art pieces that represented the themes and emotions of the text. This approach was highly effective, especially for students who had different learning styles.

Later, I observed a science club meeting. The students were working on a project about renewable energy. Their passion and curiosity were inspiring, and it was a reminder of the importance of nurturing students' interests outside the regular curriculum.

**Day 5: Friday, May 24th**

The final day of my practice was a whirlwind of activity. I conducted a lesson on the water cycle, complete with a fun and educational experiment where students created mini water cycles in plastic bags. The hands-on activity was a hit, and it was thrilling to see students make real-world connections.

In the afternoon, the school held a "Student Achievement Celebration," where various awards were given out for academic and extracurricular accomplishments. It was heartwarming to see students recognized for their hard work and talents.

As the day ended, my mentor and I had a debriefing session where she provided detailed feedback on my performance over the past two weeks. Her insights were invaluable, and she encouraged me to continue honing my skills and exploring innovative teaching methods.

Reflecting on these past five days, I am grateful for the opportunities to lead, learn, and connect with the students and staff. This experience has solidified my commitment to becoming an educator and has equipped me with practical skills and knowledge that I will carry forward in my teaching journey.
